It connects to the factory signal chain — taking what the head unit sends and processing it independently for every speaker in the vehicle before it reaches any driver. Timing, phase, and equalisation are corrected channel by channel, addressing the acoustic problems that every car cabin creates and that no factory EQ can fix.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe DSP also cleans the signal. The RAV4's integrated head unit provides a speaker-level output rather than a clean line-level signal — the DSP processor corrects this before it reaches the amplified channels, resulting in significantly lower distortion and better dynamic range across the full volume range.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor JBL-equipped RAV4s, the nine-speaker hardware is capable of significantly better performance than the factory amplification allows.
