What is Apple CarPlay?

Apple CarPlay allows your car or car stereo to interact with modern iPhone cell phones.

At a glance, Apple CarPlay it looks like a basic version of your iPhone screen transplanted onto the car stereo.

Most modern cars have Apple CarPlay (and/or Android Auto) built in.  If it's possible to change the stereo in your car, we can install a new system with CarPlay or AndroidAuto with options from AlpinePioneerKenwood, and Sony.

If you have an iPhone, Apple CarPlay is the easiest way to get GPS navigation in your car choosing from Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps to navigate.

Plus Apple CarPlay reads your messages aloud and responds using your verbal responses, completely hands-free.  SMS, iMessage, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and others are all compatible.  While it might sound distracting, once you see/hear Apple CarPlay working, it's easy to understand that the system will limit what you can do physically do, forcing most actions to be verbal.  This means you can "talk" to the stereo to respond to messages without looking at it, and it will read responses back aloud.

Aftermarket touch screen stereos have been improving for years, and it's been the easiest way to add a reverse camera or Bluetooth calling in your car.  Now you can add GPS navigation as well with Apple CarPlay.
