Toyota RAV4 Audio Upgrade — System Three
TOYOTA RAV4 AUDIO UPGRADE — SYSTEM THREE
The complete build.
We've done this on a late-model hybrid RAV4. Here's what it involves.
Full component speaker replacement, new subwoofer under the rear cargo floor, multichannel ADSP amplifier, and complete acoustic treatment — doors, floor, sidewalls, and tailgate. It's a significant job. The result is a completely different vehicle to listen to.
On RAV4 models where head unit replacement is possible, we'll include it — it's always a better outcome and gives the DSP a cleaner signal to work with from the start. On models where it isn't practical, the ADSP approach delivers the same result.
SYSTEM THREE INCLUDES:
- Front component speaker and tweeter upgrade
- Subwoofer — underseat or under rear cargo floor, properly enclosed
- Multichannel ADSP amp/processor with app control
- Full individual speaker timing, phase and EQ calibration
- Full sound deadening — doors, floor, sidewalls and tailgate
- Power kit, cables and minor parts
- Installation and calibration by ear
HOW THIS SYSTEM WORKS:
Front component speakers replace the factory drivers — units selected specifically for the RAV4's cabin size, door configuration, and the owner's listening preferences. From high-value performers through to reference-grade drivers, the ADSP platform is engineered to make all of them perform beyond their price point.
The subwoofer is positioned under the rear cargo floor — out of sight, properly enclosed, and sized appropriately for a full SUV cabin. A dedicated amplifier channel drives it independently from the front stage. Bass level is adjustable via app at any time.
The ADSP processor gives us independent 30-band EQ control over every driver in the system. With the aid of specialist, professional software, we tune and calibrate by ear — using the owner's music, in the actual vehicle, until the system sounds exactly right.
Full acoustic treatment is what separates System Three from everything else. Sound deadening across the doors, floor, sidewalls, and tailgate addresses the acoustic environment the speakers are working in, not just the speakers themselves. The RAV4's five-door SUV body picks up significant road and tyre noise at motorway speeds — proper deadening reduces this dramatically and lets the audio system perform in a cabin that's actually quiet enough to hear it properly.
For JBL-equipped RAV4s, we can work with the existing JBL hardware where it's capable, or replace it entirely. We've done both and will recommend the right approach for your specific vehicle and budget.
Nothing about the interior looks different. Everything about how it sounds is.
