The factory audio in most Kia does the job.
It fills the cabin, it works with CarPlay, and on paper the spec looks reasonable. In practice, the speakers are underpowered, the bass is thin, and road noise competes with everything above 60km/h.
System One addresses the fundamentals without touching the factory head unit or disrupting anything that already works. Sound deadening across the front doors — and rear doors where applicable — reduces road noise and gives each speaker a properly sealed environment to work in. In the EV6, EV9, and Tasman, where the cabin character varies significantly by variant, the difference is immediately audible.
For Kias on the standard 6-speaker configuration – which covers the majority of models and trims – a two-channel amplifier driving the factory speakers adds power and control before the signal even reaches the subwoofer. The result is a system that feels significantly more capable without looking or behaving any differently.
